Something looks broken — what should I try first? +
A hard refresh clears the browser's cached version of the app and forces it to reload fresh — this fixes most display glitches and odd behaviour. Try it first before anything else:

I forgot my passcode — can I recover my data? +
Unfortunately, no. Your passcode is the encryption key — it's never stored or transmitted anywhere. If it's lost, the data is unrecoverable. This is by design: it means no one, including us, can access your clients' information. This is why regular
.json backups are so important — treat them like a password manager.
How do I back up my data? +
Inside omdex, use the
Save .JSON button in the toolbar. This exports a single encrypted backup file. Store it somewhere safe — a cloud drive, external storage, or email it to yourself. Restore at any time by importing the file and entering your passcode.
Can I use omdex on multiple devices? +
Yes — but data doesn't sync automatically (by design). Transfer your data by exporting a
.json backup on one device and importing it on another. Both devices need to use the same passcode. Your one-time purchase covers all your own devices.
Will I receive future updates? +
Yes. All updates to the version you purchased are free — just download the latest file from Gumroad using your original purchase link. Check the version number in-app or on the homepage to see if a newer release is available.
Does omdex comply with GDPR / UK data protection law? +
omdex is designed to support compliance — all data stays on your device, nothing is sent to any server, and data is AES-256 encrypted at rest. However, you remain the data controller and are responsible for your own compliance obligations (e.g. retention policies, client consent). We recommend consulting a professional if you're unsure.
I'm having a technical issue — what information should I include? +
Please include: the app version (visible in the app title), your browser name and version, your operating system, and a brief description of what you were doing when the issue occurred. Screenshots are always helpful. Use the bug report form below or email hello@omdex.app.
Can I get a refund? +
If omdex doesn't work for you, email hello@omdex.app within 14 days of purchase and we'll sort it out. No hassle.
